Southeast Regional Sales Manager

Job description

Responsible for building and maintaining a strong customer base and gaining commitment from them for Voyagers products and services. Work closely with customers and other members of the sales team to provide a high-quality customer experience. Position will cover a sales territory including the following states: FL, GA, AL, NC, SC, TN

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Collaborate with VP of Sales and National Sales Manager on approaches to building business and develop plan(s) to achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals

· Contact existing and prospective customers in assigned territory to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders

· Provide customers with product samples and catalogs

· Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms

· Train dealers on use of Bear Track order portal

· Consult with clients after sales to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support

· Identify prospective customers

· Travel to meet with existing and prospective customers in the assigned territory, mainly in the local 6-state area

· May be required to travel to and participate in tradeshows throughout the United States, mainly in the local 6-state area

· Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales

· Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports

· Train customers’ employees to operate and maintain new equipment

· Prepare sales contracts and order forms; negotiate details of contracts and payments

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, and Credentials:
Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing. A variable combination of education and work experience will be considered if such background is a good fit for this position. A minimum of 3-5 years demonstrated success in sales, preferably manufacturing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Able to maintain data privacy and confidentiality.
Display flexibility to meet organization’s unique needs and to be productive in an environment with regular interruptions.

  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with all internal and external customers.
  • Perform duties in a manner consistent with safety principles, and in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards associated with the position and organization.
  • Must be flexible to change and have the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Complete required trainings mandated for position and for working at Voyager Industries.
