Are you a visionary mechanical designer ready to shape the next generation of premium outdoor products? Voyager Industries, the innovative force behind Bear Track Trailers™, Yetti Fish Houses™, Titan Deck®, and other industry-leading brands, seeks a Mechanical Designer to drive product excellence and mentor our design team.
As a Mechanical Designer, you’ll help lead complex design projects that transform how people experience the great outdoors across all four seasons of Minnesota living.
Work Schedule:
- Day shift: 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Overtime may be optional based on business needs
- Starting pay: $23.56-$40.00
- Location: Brandon, MN
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design of sophisticated mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Drive product innovation and manufacturing optimization
- Mentor junior designers and oversee design project execution
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability
- Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving for critical issues
- Create and maintain technical documentation and BOMs
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience with a technical degree
- 3-4 years of related design experience
- Understanding of CAD software and engineering principles
- Expert knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes
- Strong leadership and project management abilities
- Proven track record leading complex design projects
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience with outdoor/recreational product design
- Multi-system integration expertise (mechanical/electrical/hydraulic)
- Background in aluminum fabrication
- Prototyping and hands-on build experience
